Local rules
In Northern Ireland, every home let to visitors needs a Tourism NI certificate before its first guest. There is no council tax: homes pay domestic rates, or non-domestic rates once available to let for 140 days a year, with no second homes premium and no visitor levy.
Councils can change their rates each April. Tell us your postcode and we will confirm what applies to your home.
