Where it started
A 2 bedroom house in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge. The owners live in Scotland, and their children and grandchildren live close by.
They didn’t want a long let, because they come down every month to see the family and like staying somewhere familiar and their own instead of a hotel. They were one of our very first owners, and took a chance on us when we started.
What we changed
A comfortable, cosy house that needed showing off properly and pricing right.

- Beds that flex: a zip and link bed and two singles, so up to four can sleep separately
- A double driveway, with room for vans
- Pricing sorted, and the gaps filled around their visits
What happened
It is booked by people exploring the area, contractors and insurance stays, who love how comfortable and cosy it is. It earns 36% more than a long let would, after our fees.
The owners don’t have to worry about a thing. They block out dates when they want to come down, and we handle the cleaning and everything else. We have grown together since, and they have now trusted us with their castle in Scotland, Colliston Castle, too.
