A 5 bedroom house near Southampton, already a short let that the owner was running herself.
It wasn’t performing the way she wanted, so she asked us to take it over and run it properly.
What we changed
The house is close to Fawley Refinery, and one of the only homes its size nearby. We found out which companies, trades and projects were working on the site, and went to them directly for larger, longer bookings.
- Set up for contractors, with plenty of single beds to keep the price per person down
- Direct bookings from companies working at the refinery, for long contract stays
- Prices raised well above where they were, because houses this size nearby are so scarce
- Rates negotiated with each company to get the most for her
- Bookings taken direct, away from the big booking sites and their higher fees
