  • Panattoni Park

    Panattoni is turning the former Honda car plant into a warehouse park, with an estimated budget of £915 million. The first 545,000 sq ft unit was finished in February 2026, and a 915,000 sq ft unit was due to follow. A further 3.5 million sq ft is planned over the next two to three years. The council says it could support around 7,000 jobs on site.1

  • New Eastern Villages

    The New Eastern Villages are planned for 8,000 homes east of the A419, with schools and workplaces. Work started in August 2024 on Lotmead, a village of 2,500 homes by Vistry and Sovereign Network Group.2,3

  • Great Western Hospital

    Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has more than 5,500 staff and over 2.5 million patient contacts a year, so locums and agency staff need somewhere close to the hospital on Marlborough Road for weeks at a time.4
