For a bigger crew, our five-bedroom house in Tunbridge Wells is a short drive south, and if both are booked we look for checked partner homes nearby and tell you straight away if nothing fits. Tonbridge town centre regeneration
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council adopted its masterplan for the area east of the High Street in October 2025. It includes a new Angel leisure centre at Sovereign Way Mid, which could open by 2028, 122 homes at Sovereign Way North, a GP practice and a hotel or homes at Vale Road, built in phases over a number of years.1
Flood defences at Leigh and Hildenborough
The Environment Agency’s £36 million scheme expands the Leigh Flood Storage Area and adds an embankment and pumping station at Hildenborough. It reduces flood risk to more than 1,800 homes and 575 other properties in Tonbridge and Hildenborough. It is in final testing and due to be fully operational in autumn 2026.2
