    Tata Steel’s electric arc furnace project at Port Talbot began construction in July 2025 and secured about 5,000 jobs.1

    The Celtic Freeport covers Port Talbot and Milford Haven docks, with its tax sites now operational. It is aiming for about 11,500 green jobs, focused on floating offshore wind, hydrogen and steel industry modernisation, and appointed an interim chief executive in May 2026.2
