Our house is in central Whitley Bay, close to the beach and the Metro, and sleeps six, so it suits a small crew or a family.   • The Cambois data centre campus

    QTS’s data centre campus at Cambois, just north of Blyth, is an investment of up to £10 billion. Councillors approved the first two of up to ten buildings in December 2025, and QTS expects around 1,200 construction jobs, with the first building going up during 2026.1,2

  • New homes across North Tyneside

    North Tyneside Council’s plan for 2025 to 2029 commits to building a further 3,000 homes, on top of the 2,500 already committed, providing affordable and good-quality homes, which keeps housebuilders and trades busy across the borough.3

  • North Tyneside General Hospital

    On Rake Lane in North Shields, run by Northumbria Healthcare, which has 12,000 staff and serves more than 500,000 people across Northumberland and North Tyneside. Locums and agency staff need somewhere close for weeks at a time.4,5

  • Metro and the Northumberland Line

    Whitley Bay has its own Metro station. The new Northumberland Park station near Backworth, opened in February 2026, links the Metro to the Northumberland Line, with trains to Newcastle in about 12 minutes.6,7

Our house is in central Whitley Bay, close to the Metro into Newcastle. North Tyneside General Hospital is on Rake Lane in North Shields, and Cambois is up the coast beyond Blyth. Your shortlist shows the drive time from each home to your site.
